Denise Kum’s practise revolves around sculpture and installation, sometimes using digital images and video, using materials that are fluid in nature such as plastics, chemicals, oils and industrial by-products. The materials have come together to create a walk through sensory/tactile installation and environment created around the notion of additives – the smells inherent in cleaning products and disinfectants, the artificial colour injected in plastic and the flavours of confectionary.
Denise Kum is a New Zealand born artist who now lives and works in London. She completed her MA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2000. She has exhibited in group shows in London, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and Switzerland.
