The Breathe residency offers artists the time and space needed to contemplate and develop their practice within our purpose built residency space, for between 2-4 months. The Breathe residency applications are now closed but will re-open for submission, in May 2012 for the 2013 programme. Please contact the programme coordinator for an application pack but generally we would ask artists to submit the following:
1. A copy of CV
2. An artists statement
3. A maximum of 2 sides of A4 outlining:
- How the residency will develop your practice
- Outline of the project to be completed in the 2-4 month residency
- How you will make use of the space, location, opportunity
NB: This is not an opportunity to exhibit existing work, only work made during the residency will be exhibited in the optional Open Studio
- Up to 10 jpeg images on CD ROM.
- For Video works, please send a DVD or additional web-link as well as stills on the CD ROM
- Any other supporting material
Please note that proposals will not be returned but kept for our own resources. If you would rather the items were returned then include a postage paid self addressed envelope.
NB: Do not send original artwork. Chinese Arts Centre will accept no responsibility for any damage caused to original artwork.
