Chinese Arts Centre is a member of Creative Capital an advice and information organisation where professional development opportunities can be found. Opportunities with Chinese Arts CentreResidencies The Breathe Residency provides artists with time and space to contemplate and develop their practice. The time could be used for research and development of ideas, and the form the residency takes is entirely up to the artist to choose. The Breathe residency takes place within our centre's residency space for 2-4 months. We take applications from local & international artists of Chinese descent and will be accepting submissions for this again in May 2012.The Whisper Residency gives you a taster session of Breathe, being able to live and work within the residency space but for 2-3 weeks on specific projects. The residency is well suited to recent graduates/ emerging artists. We take applications on a rolling basis so there is no deadline. Our centre is working with 501 Arts Space to offer The Chongqing residency in China; an exciting opportunity for all artists to take up a 1-2 month residency with the Arts Space in Chongqing, China. We will be opening up applications for 2013 residencies in June 2012.
