The Grand Tour is a series of exhibitions presenting new work by Gayle Chong Kwan exploring issues of cultural tourism, master planning, waste and landscape in fine art. The works draw on, celebrate and critique The Grand Tour – the tradition of European travel popular amongst upper-class young men during from 17th to 19th centuries. Through vibrant sculpture and photography, Chong Kwan links this tourism tradition to the various forms and implications of contemporary travel.
The current exhibition in The Grand Tour is ‘Atlantis’ at Arts Co 12 November – 6 December.
